GUIDELINES & COMMUNITY STANDARDS POLICY

We are looking for personal stories, journalism, and opinion pieces.

With each new submission, you will be asked to declare that your piece will not violate our community standards. In the event that it does violate, it may be rejected outright or removed from our media. Please share your submissions with these guidelines in mind:

FORMAT
Ideally, Tyler Babble will be a place for the written word. This includes essays, poetry, opinion pieces, and the like. But some people express their creativity through other media. If you wish to submit a video, song, artwork, photograph, or other format, we welcome those submissions.

LENGTH
We ask that you keep your written submission to a maximum of 1250 words. For videos, the maximum length should be no more than five minutes.

INCLUSIVITY
Ensure that your submissions are clear of any hate speech or defamatory language that violates the spirit of inclusivity. We will not allow any submissions with content that would be discriminatory on the grounds of an individual’s sex, race, religion or belief, ethnic or national origin, sexual orientation, age, marital status, disability or working status.

NO MARKETING
Your submissions cannot attempt to be a marketplace for selling products, job offers, advertising businesses or organizations or promotional materials.

ORIGINAL MATERIAL
Your submissions must contain original content. If you choose to include material from an outside source, we will ask that you footnote that external source.

NO MEDICAL ADVICE
Unless you are a licensed medical professional, we ask you to avoid making medical claims.

YOUR CONTENT
You are responsible for the content of any submissions that you post. Tyler Babble will have a disclaimer at the top of each submission that the view reflected belongs to the author.

ADVERTISEMENTS
The Tyler Loop reserves the right to allow advertisers on our website, including as part of the Tyler Babble section. This is simply part of our revenue stream to allow us to operate as a non-profit organization. When you submit, you understand that ads may appear on the page with your submission.
